IT Configuration Specialist
DEADLINE March 31, 2025

IT Configuration Specialist with strong analytical and logical thinking skills

Skanlog is growing alongside our customers, and with this growth comes an increased demand for providing digital and flexible solutions.

In Group IT, we implement, support, and develop IT systems that optimize logistics solutions and enhance our and our customers’ digital strategies.

You’ll work with engaged colleagues across the Nordic countries, and the Philippines to deliver solutions. Your role will be instrumental in transforming our current landscape into streamlined, maintainable codebases.

About the position:

Your role will be to configure our systems based on change requests from our business and PMO departments. You’ll play a key part in reviewing these requests, determining whether our current solutions can meet the needs without additional development, and guiding stakeholders toward configurable solutions where possible. You will also be responsible for configuring the systems.

The configurations you’ll handle will vary in complexity, and can involve working through user interfaces, file-based setups, or light scripting using SQL, PowerShell, C#, or JavaScript. Your ability to think logically and abstractly will be critical, as you’ll need to quickly understand problems, and translate them into effective solutions, while maintaining a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of our industry and customers.

A key aspect of the role is assisting the PMO and development department in determining what should be configurable in our system when designing new solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, preferably within logistics. You’ll also need to bring excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a knack for challenging and refining change requests

While much of the daily communication in the office is in Danish, fluent English is essential as you’ll collaborate with the team in Cebu, Philippines. Hybrid work is an option if desired.

Who are you?

  • Problem solver with strong analytical and logical thinking skills
  • Has experience in a similar role, or has a logistics background
  • Ability to balance working in teams and independently
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Are an IT Generalist with a broad knowledge of concepts and technologies
  • Basic programming skills are a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge about EDI and APIs is a significant advantage.
